Moments of a Long Pause is a 2 channel video installation based on interviews with men and women on the streets of 5 Indian cities; Delhi, Agra, Ludhiana, Amritsar, Calcutta. It brings strangers to a conversation about an everyday street phenomenon; 'eve-teasing'. It attempts to explore the boundaries of flirting, wooing, 'teasing', sexual harassment and sexual violence based on the lived experiences of those interviewed. People interviewed are from across age and socio economic groups including a grandmother, a ten year old girl, a person who lives on the street, shopkeepers, street vendors, a tour guide, home maker, a family at a picnic, women working at a beauty salon, car chauffeur. The 2 channel video was commissioned by the Bronx Museum of Arts and supported by Akademie Schloss Solitude (2008).
